The Sindh provincial government has introduced new licensing conditions for the sale of agricultural pesticides, fertilisers, and seeds. Under the new policy, these licences will only be issued to individuals holding an agricultural degree. The decision, announced by Agriculture Minister Sardar Muhammad Bux Mahar, is aimed at promoting professionalism and enhancing the quality of agricultural products in the market. Supporting Agriculture Graduates for Business Ventures

Training Female Students in Agricultural Machinery

The initiative is designed to help them generate income by renting out tractors. Additionally, the trained women are being provided with learner’s driving licenses, further enhancing their capabilities.
Combating Counterfeit Agricultural Products
The agriculture minister also emphasized the government’s commitment to tackling counterfeit products in the market. Strict actions are being taken against fake companies selling substandard agricultural inputs. The involvement of agricultural experts and educated professionals through the new licensing system is expected to improve product quality and protect farmers from fraudulent practices. Alongside this, the government continues to promote modern farming techniques and technology to increase yield per acre.
